May 22, 6pm to 7:30pm

Join us for conversation about teaching art with new media. Members of the MAAG will introduce themselves by responding to the question:

Why teach art with new media materials?

Each member of the panel is successfully using new media materials in their art teaching.  Both art and non-art teachers are welcome; non-art teachers are encouraged to consider how new media technology can be applied to enrich their subject matter, while art teachers will have the opportunity to hear how new media arts are used by master art teachers.

After a short introduction to their individual backgrounds and approaches, the panel will be open to questions from the audience. The goal is to spark an engaged conversation around the benefits, challenges, and possibilities of integrating new media materials into the art (and non-art!) classroom. Please join the conversation!

Date: Tuesday, May 22.
Time: 6pm to 7:30pm.
Location: Myers Media Art Studio, Room 51C, Thorndike Hall.
